Day 300: Wrote A Facebook Message

Today is Day 300; a milestone date for 366 Random Acts of Kindness.  Today is also my father-in-law's birthday.  He would have been 61 years told.  For those that haven't been following the blog all year, we lost my wife's father to complications from lung cancer back in February.  Although he wasn't my own father, there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about him.  When I started these random acts, it was to set a positive example for my daughter, and to create something that my daughter could one day be proud of and hopefully emulate.  If these acts can be even a small iota of the example that John was for Lindsey and her brothers, then I would be proud of that.  I will do everything in my power to be as great to Lindsey and Isla as he was to his family.  I wish I could have said it in person, but today, for my random act of kindness, I wrote a Facebook message on John's wall wishing him a happy birthday.  It may seem weird to some of you, and you may wonder how it is a random act, but I know somewhere John got a little Facebook notification and read my message.
