Day 288: Attempted To Help A Friend Hang Doors

I am not a handyman.  I have never built anything of significance.  Assembling an IKEA dresser is the extent of my craftsmanship.  To really drive home the point that I am not an amateur Bob Vila; when my wife and I moved in together, she was the one who had the only power drill.  I am trying, however, to improve this aspect of my life.  When people are building something, or need help constructing something, I try to volunteer to help as much as I can.  That is why I jumped at the chance to help my friend Andrew when he said that he needed some assistance hanging up new doors in his place.  I jumped in my car and drove over to his house, and we got to work.  However, after over an hour and a half of work, we hung one door unevenly and couldn't figure out why another door wouldn't close flush.  So today, for my random act of kindness, I "attempted" to help a friend hang doors in his house.  We determined (or at least told ourselves) that the door was too wide for the old frame, so it may be that there was nothing we could do.
