Day 224: Donated To The Bongo Man

This morning was the most perfect weather that we have had here in a long time.  This got my wife super excited, so we decided to go for a walk to the local farmer's market.  My wife loves farmer's markets more than the average person, so just one farmer's market wasn't enough and we ended up going to a second.  When we arrived at the second one, we noticed a bongo player banging away on his drums for a group of kids.  We figured we would pass by after we went through and finished our veggie shopping.  By the end of the shopping, Isla was completely zoned out and bored.  However, when we brought her over to the Bongo man, she completely lost her mind.  She was mesmerized by him, and he even gave her a little maraca to play along with.  He asked her name and started singing a song about her.  He was so awesome with her and all of the other children.  We had some spare cash left over from shopping, so we gave it to him in his tip jar.  We will definitely be going back to see him soon because I have never seen my daughter so enthralled with someone (well, besides her father.)  I didn't have my phone to take a picture or video, so instead here is Isla in her Hoosier gear from this morning.  The weather made it feel like it was football weather, so she wanted to get hyped up for it to start.

  2. Hoosier gear? What is your connection to Indiana. I am a transplanted Hoosier, now living in Phoenix, Arizona - originally from Columbus, Indiana. I love reading your blog and all the wonderful things you do for others. Keep it up. It is admirable.
