The Married Couple-To-Be
The wedding day has finally arrived here in Monterey. In a few short hours, Taylor and Greg will be saying their "I Do's" and I will proceed to set the dance floor on fire with moves ranging from the Tango to the Dougie. Whenever I attend a wedding, it always makes me reminisce about my own wedding day. During the morning, as my wife and her bridesmaids were being delivered a wonderful assortment of croissants, fruit, and mimosas, my groomsmen and I were playing beer pong and cranking Kanye West and AC/DC to get pumped for the wedding. My friends did a great job of relaxing me and eliminating any last minute jitters I was having (although I would be remiss not to attribute some of my relaxation to the fine folks at Anheuser-Busch). As I was trying to figure out what to do for today's random act, I kept thinking back to that day, and how my wife (who I thought would be a stress case) was pretty chill thanks to those around her doing things for her; the aforementioned breakfast being one of them. So today, for my random act of kindness, I "catered" breakfast for Taylor and her bridesmaids as she got ready for her big day. Now if I could just get them to start playing some Kanye, I know I will have done my job.
I have been following and reading up on your blog for a few months now. I love your idea of random acts of kindness . I have a banner at the top of my blog with the same quote, Practice Random Acts Of Kindness. My blog is on my 17 year old grandson being murdered a year ago June 18th I am starting ( trying to ) A National Light A Candle In Your Driveway Day ( at 10 pm that nite the time he was taken from us ) this honor is not just for him but other victims alike. ReplyDeleteThat was a great thing to do for Taylor and her bridesmaids. One less thing that Taylor and her friends and family had to worry about doing on such a busy day.
