Day 289: Gave The Wife A Footrub

For some reason I tried to post this 2,3,4 5 different times today and it wouldn't work for some reason.  I guess it is for the better because then this will be more of a surprise for my wife.  She is up walking around all day as a teacher, so her feet are usually in a lot of pain when she gets home from work.  She is in even more pain than usual this week as she is recovering from minor surgery to remove a cyst from her back (everything is ok thankfully!).  As her one and only, I feel as though it is my husbandly duty to help relieve some of that pain with the occasional foot/back/neck rub.  When I started to think about it, I realized that I haven't really been keeping up with those rubs.  So tonight, for my random act of kindness, I am giving my wife a footrub.  I might even get a little crazy and use lotion (truth be told, I would use the lotion because sometimes being on her feet all day gives my wife a little bit of the stinky hobbit foot (she will now proceed to kill me for typing this (if you're keeping count, I have just successfully used parentheses within parentheses within parentheses.  MLA Handbook be damned!!))).
