Day 274: Left Cookies For A Delivery Man
This may have been one of the more relaxing weekends that my family has been able to have in a loooooooong time. Besides the awesome charity bowling event yesterday, all we've done is chill out and lay around at home or at my parents' (my sister was in town for a wedding this weekend). The most excitement that we had this weekend was Isla finally pooping after 2 days of not going. When Isla goes to school in a few years, she might be the only kid in her class with Metamucil and Fiber One bars in her lunchbox. I think her lack of #2's has actually led to some cost savings for our family since she doesn't tear through diapers like a normal baby. So when we have our weekly cloth diaper delivery, the bag isn't terribly heavy. Although Isla doesn't cause much of an issue for our delivery man, we still understand how hard he works. He makes his rounds on Sunday nights from about 5PM until 5AM, all the way from near Wisconsin down to the south suburbs. So today, for my random act of kindness, I wrote a note thanking him for his hard work and my wife made up a batch of frosted pumpkin cookies for him. I just really want him to know that his hard work doesn't go unnoticed.
